Improving Vocabulary

Here is a quick tip to improve your Spanish vocabulary. First, grab a piece a paper and something to write with. Now, take a look around room, and what do you see? Possibly you see a desk, a chair, walls, a bed, a mirror, etc. Now jot those things down and head back to your computer. Go to wordreference.com, the greatest Spanish online dictionary out there and look up the words. Next, write the Spanish equivalent next to the English words. Then give yourself a few hours and review the list again. You don’t want to overload yourself with too many words, so keep a list short to just about a dozen words or so. I also suggest buying a notepad than you can take with you and just jot down things when you are out of the house and look them up later when you have time. This is only take a few minutes, and trust me if you do it every day it will do wonders for your vocabulary.
